Forgiveness is a process. Often it does not happen overnight, but instead ripples through your heart in soft, gentle waves as the next layer of healing is revealed.
Whether you are forgiving another for their actions, or forgiving yourself for the mistakes you have made, I hope this collection of poems about forgiveness allows you to lift the weight in your heart and feel light again today.
PoeMS ABOUT FORGIVENESS
1. Finding Peace - Jadine Lydia
i would like to think that i can forgive and forget but when i try to forgive the weight of you c r u s h e s my barely beating heart. and when i try to forget golden memories cling and clasp, breathing light into my lungs, before the oh so good moments, became oh so bad moments; shattering light into darkness and love into heartlessness, fracturing my perspective and everything i believed. and so, i shelter somewhere between forgiving and forgetting; hurting and wrestling, purging the pain and blessings, until peace finds me.
